Tips to get the perfect Kitty Hawk rental experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Kitty Hawk area. To find the most suitable rental home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Kitty Hawk attractions and restaurants.
- In the Kitty Hawk area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many management companies supply Kitty Hawk area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Kitty Hawk area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning and picking the perfectrental home:
- Select your vacation dates and max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group needs. Sunrise Bliss has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the host before booking the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation family.
- Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or costs might be applied to your agreement.
Tips to have a fantastic stay:
- Add the property manager's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Record any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if damages are assessed.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
- Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
