  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 700 square feet

Cozy and private home-feel-type modern apartment with one bedroom and one bath. Ground floor. Private space and separate entry. Ideal for couples. Savor the peaceful space, handsome sunset view, and pretty landscape, and smell the roses (during the season.) Listen to the birds, and smell the salty air while calming or drinking your morning coffee on the back porch. This comfortable hideaway is located among live magnolia, mimosa, and oaks in the heart of the Outer Banks.

Cozy one-bedroom and one-bath apartment on the ground floor. Private entry and the entire place to yourself. Intelligent TV with Netflix access but no full network.
The kitchenette includes the following: Fridge, microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, and coffee maker.
Plates, cups, glasses, and silverware are included.
Paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, coffee filters, and sugar.
There are linens for the bed and two sets of bath towels but please bring your own beach towels.

We have one double bicycle, three regular bicycles, a kayak for two people, and a stand-up paddleboard. These are shared among guests from my two other apartments. We don't have direct access to the water. However, we're a two-min. walk to the Albemarle Sound access, and a boardwalk makes it ideal for a sunset walk. We're about ten min. walk to the ocean.
Pet friendly $35 per animals and per stay. Max 2 dogs please. There is a cat that lives in the common outdoor areas. The owner lives upstairs.

Getting the best Kitty Hawk vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • The earlier you can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Kitty Hawk area. To find the most suitable vacation home within budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Kitty Hawk vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Kitty Hawk visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Finding the best rental home in the Kitty Hawk area:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Cozy Appartment: Hottub, Kayak, SUPs, and Bikes. Dogs or cats ? has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Kitty Hawk rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you book the home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to work out what configuration is right for your family.
  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

More considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Call the host immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to drive more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
