IMPORTANT Note for my guests: This home is designed as a guest bungalow. The living space is 700 square feet with an additional 300 square feet of private deck space. It does not feel modest due to the high ceilings and layout, but may not be huge enough for families with multiple kids. I have spent a lot of time in this space entertaining and I am in adore with it. I want you to be as well! Please feel complimentary to contact me prior to booking requests with any questions. I look forward to meeting you- Always Aloha- Dave

Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation property experience:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- In the Kitty Hawk area, The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- To find the largest rental within budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Find a copy of your local Kitty Hawk visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines contain deals for local tours and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- First, have your family agree to dates and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. Where the Beach and Nature Collide- has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. If not, email or call the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or costs may be applied to your contract.
- Looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. message the property manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
