Launch your vacation with this refreshed beach box in the heart of OBX! The SandPyle is located on Duck Road in Southern Shores and is a 5-min. walk to the closest beach access. Parking on the immediate streets and area of the beach accesses is limited to those with parking permits and guests of the surrounding properties so the beach will not be busy!

With it being centrally located, guests will be able to bicycle (a bicycle/walking path runs all the way through Southern Shores & Duck) or drive to their favorite eateries in both Duck and Southern Shores to include Red Sky, Blue Point, Aqua, Ducks Cottage Coffee, Southern Shores Pizza, Vilai Thai Kitchen, Barrier Island Bagels, Steamers, Coastal Cravings, Coastal Cantina, Duck Donuts and Donutz on a Stick. Need to snag some groceries? Harris Teeter, Food Lion, Walmart, Publix, and local, fresh seafood markets are close by. There is also a neighborhood park and playground just a few blocks away.

Popular local attractions include: Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, Jockey's Ridge State Park, Wright Brother's Memorial, Currituck Lighthouse, Pine Island Audubon Sanctuary & The Lost Colony Outdoor drama. There are also multiple water sports rental businesses within a 10-15 min. drive with jet skis, kayaks, boats, and other fun water toys. A NEW brewery, Swells'a Brewing, opened Summer 2021 & is a 15 min. drive from the home; it ideally accommodates both adults and kids!

The SandPyle has 3 bedrooms (two with queens, one with 2 twins), 2 full baths, a covered front & back porch with Adirondack chairs, and a entirely covered downstairs for space to play games, hang out with an outdoor shower! The sizable driveway has parking for four to five cars (depending on size) and is long enough for just about any boat and trailer. You will savor all the amenities of home and then some, including high-speed internet, ample seating in living and dining rooms, central AC/heat, ceiling fans, washer and dryer, full kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, full pot/K-Cup combo coffee maker. You will not miss your favorite TV shows or sporting events while on vacation - the SandPyle has a intelligent TV in the living room with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, You Tube, and you can also cast shows from your smartphone.

To keep our prices low, we do not provide linens but if you cannot bring yours, we will be happy to provide a list of close by businesses that rent linens and other vacation needs (beach chairs, infant needs, etc.) by the week.

We have the following additional items for your enjoyment around the bungalow and at the beach: 5-burner gas grille with propane supplied, the Can Jam game to pass the time while grilling, an outdoor table and 5 chairs on ground floor, 2 beach cruiser bicycles, 6 beach chairs, and sand toys.

*** Dog lovers are welcome!!! Up to two dogs allowed but must be kennel (crate) kept if left home alone. One enormous and one medium kennel supplied - if you bring two huge dogs you will need to bring a 2nd huge kennel. Also NEW this year a completely fenced area for your dogs!

About the Area

Located in Kitty Hawk, this vacation home is on a river. Glazin' Go-Nuts and Wright Brothers National Memorial are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Nor'Banks Sailing and Children at Play Museum. Paradise Fun Park and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf are also worth visiting.
