Freshly remodeled Beach House located 2.5 miles north of the heart of Duck and 1.5 miles south of The Sanderling Resort. (Bicycle/Walking trail in both directions) The side porch has an AMAZING view overlooking the Sound ideal for evening sunsets. It is also a short 4-5 min walk to the beach for impressive morning sunrises. A phenomenal place for a little relaxation. My husband and I bought this home in Duck for family vacations to create many memories but wanted to share that with others. We currently live in Currituck but appreciate going to Duck for the weekends

How to get the best vacation property experience:
Cost saving strategies:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Kitty Hawk. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Kitty Hawk area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain offers and deals for local tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Kitty Hawk vacation home:
- Start by choosing your the best vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Newly renovated house in Duck has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is usually accessible online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you book your rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is suitable for your family.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Kitty Hawk attraction you simply love, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
Additional considerations:
- Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Document any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your life at home. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
