Freshly modernized Beach House located 2.5 miles north of the heart of Duck and 1.5 miles south of The Sanderling Resort. (Bicycle/Walking trail in both directions) The side porch has an AMAZING view overlooking the Sound ideal for evening sunsets. It is also a short 4-5 min walk to the beach for enchanting morning sunrises. A magnificent place for a little relaxation. My husband and I bought this home in Duck for family vacations to create many memories but wanted to share that with others. We currently live in Currituck but appreciate going to Duck for the weekends

Rental property booking tips:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in Kitty Hawk. To get the best value, consider changing your vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Kitty Hawk area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the perfect vacation rental in the Kitty Hawk area:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Newly renovated house in Duck has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your contract.
- If there's a certain Kitty Hawk beach you love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a great time? Many rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
