The space
The main, or master bedroom features a queen size bed as well as a twin bed. The second bedroom features a Queen bed and the third bedroom or kid's room features 3 twin beds.
This Original Beach Cottage, having been constructed in the 1960's, is refreshed with Central Heat/AC, and has everything needed to appreciate a fantastic beach vacation. Parking is directly in front of the bungalow and there is a lockbox on the unit so that you can check yourself in and out.
We are located "between the highways" as it's called here on the island, however we are the second home from the water. It will take you less than one min. to walk to the beaches.
Even with a thorough modernization, the property is a historical home that is now over 70 years old. It has some eccentricities that reflect building standards and designs from the turn of the last century that lends to its appeal as an older beach bungalow. Our bathrooms are not as sizable as modern constructed, even so, we hope that you will adore our older and beautiful home.

Tips and Tricks to get the best Kitty Hawk vacation property experience:
When to book a Kitty Hawk rental home & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, try shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic.
- In the Kitty Hawk area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Kitty Hawk area visitor guides which include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- To start, have your family agree to vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Queen Anne's Revenge at the Beach by RedAwning has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Kitty Hawk vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the property management company before booking the property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what configuration is best for your family.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.
Advice for a smooth stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to inspire more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
